A little bit about Keisha-Monique:
A passionate artist with a potent message, Keisha Monique, is known for her prominent stage presence and captivating delivery. Born into an artistic household, she was emersed in The Arts as a child and encouraged to hone her craft. As a writer, she began penning poems, short stories and songs at the age of nine as a form of self-expression and a means of escape. Since then, her mediums have expanded into music and sculpture, still communicating the same urgency. She has performed both nationally and internationally, from cafes to festivals and her work has been featured in film, radio, and print. As an active member of Toronto’s thriving arts community, Keisha Monique also conducts workshops and serves on boards and organizations dedicated to cultivating holistic development, particularly for young women of colour. Much can be said about Keisha Monique’s impact, however, it is her open, straightforward, and ardent Spirit that summons the audience, leaving them full yet yearning for more.
